Who We Are

The Wai of the Kōkopu encompasses our estuaries, rivers, wetlands, streams, floodplains and riparian areas. Throughout their remarkable lifecycle, kōkopu fish move from freshwater to salty and back again, with wetland and riparian habitats particularly crucial for spawning and ultimately survival of these treasured species.

At Wai Kōkopu Consulting we work to protect, restore, and enhance all areas of our native kōkopu’s habitat, balanced alongside productive land uses that are pivotal to the health and prosperity of New Zealand’s communities and economy.
